Mạnh and Hải listed in all-star team from ASIAD group stage

HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese defender Đỗ Duy Mạnh and midfielder Nguyễn Quang Hải have been listed in the men’s all-star team for the qualifying round at the Asian Games  二0 一 八 (ASIAD) in Indonesia, according to goal.com.

The two players performed well in their opening matches which helped their team top their group. Hosts Indonesia had centre midfielder Stefano Lilipaly and striker Beto Goncalves named in the squad, while Malaysian striker Safawi Rasid, defender Dostonbek Tursunov, Uzbek midfielder Dostonkbek Khamdamov, Chinese goalkeeper Chen Wei and left midfielder Wei Shihao also made the list.

The remainder were defender Abdelatif Bahdari from Palestine and striker Hwang Ui-jo from South Korea. — VNS
